I have been working on a language learning program for kids for a wonderful company named Sparkle Speak. They’re releasing a brand new Olympics themed DVD complete with musical animation and interactive programs to be enjoyed with fun characters such as Milo and Amélie!

I have just finished some wonderful work experience with the Bristol based animation studio, Arthur Cox. 15 animation companies have been working on a new movie called A Liar’s Autobiography which follows and illustrates the life of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman through his own audio memoirs. I worked on animation composition for the director, Matthew Walker.

“By 1973 the Women’s Liberation Movement (WLM) in Britain had mobilised thousands of women to challenge sexism in their everyday lives. Many local groups emerged to support an ever-growing social movement.
Bristol was no different. Women were involved in setting up women’s centres, publishing their own media such as newsletters and the local Bristol WLM journal, ‘Enough,’ as well as finding new ways to spread the message of Women’s Liberation.
Sistershow was part of this. Sistershow was the amateur feminist theatre branch of the Bristol WLM. They used humour, dramatics and art to explore the feminist issues of the time. They challenged stereotypes about the humour-less feminist whilst exploring new forms of gender and sexual identities.”
This was brought together by the excellent exhibition constructed by Deborah M. Withers in the memory of the Sistershow 1973.
